Shay Ryan currently brightens the screens of Fox 5 News. She began her career as a weekend meteorologist at WXVT in Greenville, Mississippi. Moving on to WSAV in Savannah, Georgia, she covered Hurricane Floyd and took part in the largest peacetime evacuation in American history. While staying at the Emergency Management Shelter for 36 hours, she reported on key safety updates and the tracked the storm’s path.
Shay Ryan is a member of the American Meteorological Society and has earned the society’s seal of approval.
Originally from South Florida, Shay Ryan earned a Bachelor’s degree in telecommunication from the University of Florida and went on to gain a Master’s degree in Geoscience from Mississippi State University.
